Feira Taylor is a regional folk artist and educator based in eastern North Carolina.
Hi, my name is Feira Taylor. I'm a New Orleans native who resides in eastern North Carolina. I'm currently working towards accomplishing my dream of becoming a public school art teacher. I'm an avid home cook, a self-taught artist, and a lifestyle blogger for my blog, Wildflower & Pearl. I'm also a loving dog mom to a spoiled chihuahua (Calliope) and a lovable mutt (Suma).
I admire many things, but the thing I admire most is beauty. This understanding often prompts me to see beauty in all things. Beauty can be observed through a single blade of grass, the exterior millwork of an old farmhouse, or the astonishing allure of a full moon. My need to process beauty and understand it is what inspired me to become an artist.
My art style leans towards folk art with a hint of regionalism. My favorite medium is acrylic. I love traditional art forms, but I like adding a contemporary twist. I'm a huge fan of Big Sky Landscapes and Édouard Manet.
